Dedicated to those who are weary of Mama's boys.
He is playing out his mother's life,
made yet another, his wife.
He is playing out his mother's life,
finding fault, starting strife.
He is playing out his mother's life,
stands tall, acts like he has it all.
You see, his mother pointed the finger at God's singer--
made false accusations while lies linger.
Thought she wasn't going to get paid back,
confessed sin, but piles started to stack.
Sat quietly, didn't reveal all that I know.
I knew her life was all a put-on, a show.
You see she didn't show love,
slipped on a smile like a glove.
Thought she was going to make me a friend,
but her friendship--a dead end.
Her obedient son was put to the test,
thought he could lay down and rest.
But snake charmer moved on in,
got him to commit sin.
Now one has to fix his mess,
confess, or end up with less.
So he played a game he learned from mother,
something he witnessed too from his brother.
"Go after that money, honey...
'cause people will act funny.
Move as soon as you can,
be sure to look like "The Man."
Then off mama boy went, told lies,
then convinced a believer to compromise.
Mother taught him about spiritual things,
and the blessings they can bring.
But God saw foolishness and deceit,
and that's why one will lose her seat!
Saving baby from a whippin,'
yet stressed mother often trippin'!
Raised baby to act like her,
"You know mama could use a fur."
Attempts to play a mind game,
his words and images are lame!
Ignores what is smart,
never studies a chart.
Like mom, he thinks he knows everything,
thinks the answer to love is all in a ring.
When mother calls, he falls.
When mother dies, he will cry.
Everything she does is a life lesson,
thinks she is the only one with a blessin'.
Watch what you say when you talk,
or she might tell her son "to walk!"
Don't think she will keep quiet,
don't even buy it!
She looks for something weak within you,
then she will do, do, do...
tell her son what she really thinks of you.
Then he will plead his case,
bring flowers to her in a vase.
Say that he really loves you,
but then think about, "I said I do?"
Mom all in the mix,
always trying to fix.
He is playing out his mother's life,
made yet another, his wife.
He is playing out his mother's life,
finding fault, starting strife.
He is playing out his mother's life,
stands tall, acts like he has it all.
You see, he pointed the finger at God's singer--
made false accusations while lies linger.
