Show Your Love on Valentine's Day!

A Dedication to My First Earthly Love

Perfect Love can be achieved.
Perfect Love can be achieved.

Open your heart and accept the concept.
Determination and obedience
honor and devotion
first and foremost to God.

The response:
He is in the plan
He is in the plan.

Comfort peace
trust and kindness.

It seems so simple
'cause it is.
It seems so good
'cause it is.
It seems so right
'cause it is.

A better love, a kinder lover
a love that isn't caught up in routine
is a Perfect Love
a unique love
a free love
is God's Love!

Create it.
Renew it.
Believe it.
You owe it to yourself.

Stop saying it can't be.
Stop accepting doubts.
Stop binding your heart.
Limiting your love.
Limiting your time.
Restricting your emotions.

GROW...
Let Love Go...
Let God handle it.
And ride, ride, ride, it eternally...
Here's to Beginnings!

Christian Love

Feed my soul
with worthy conversation
stimulate my mind
not with ole-fashioned talk
forget about t.v. or
memorable family experiences.

Ask me a question
I'll supply the answer
let us converse
about today, tomorrow and
the future
never forgetting to mention God.

I'm Afraid

My heart is sinking
gradually
into the pit
of my stomach
as my walls
surround
and suffocate it.

My outside showing
my inside
I ache
everyday
and I'm afraid.

Poor me, I ignore the feelings,
the visions, the thoughts.

I love today
because I am away from what some
call home.
I hate tomorrow
because he'll be there.

I shouldn't stay
I know...
but I don't know.

He cries with no tears
I cry with many tears
and each time it just
gets worse.

And I thought it
would become easier
and easier to leave,
but it hasn't.

Men and a Field Full of Women

So you wonder
why we change?

When you are to blame
for you fought
to get us
then later
you don't need us.

So you try to be polite,
"This is too much."
"I need my space."
"Maybe we can be friends."
and we travel separate paths.

But then you claim you love us
with a flash of a ring
you call us all the time
you say how much
you want us
need us
you say you've changed
and by this time
we're suppose to believe you.

A Foreign Time - January 9, 1997

And then there is you ...
I remember.
All smiles.
You flirted and teased me.
And I briefly forgot.
Years went by as people
walked through our lives.
I thought of you once-in-awhile.

And then there is you...
I remember.
I was nervous and afraid
of saying the wrong thing.
You were open, charming
and only a friend.

And then there is you...
wanting something more these days.
Reminiscing is all that I had in mind.

I'll Be Home Soon

Wishing, hoping, waiting
for you to call
can't wait until we see each other again.
I can feel you inside of me
your heart is beating
you are so very sad.

The distance is getting next to you.
You want what you can't have for now.
Hurry up, hurry up!!!
Time is not making the heart grow fonder.
Time is breaking an already wounded heart.

The flight is too much for my pocket.
The train is too long for my soul.
The bus is too crowded for my thoughts.

I will be home soon!
I will make love like you have never felt before!
I will leave my imprint within you.
You will never desire another...

Coming home soon,

Yours.

The Ripple Effect

Did I tell you I am in love?

I guess I didn't have to when you could see it on my face.

Disappointed because you misunderstood my smile for being single.

You thought you had a chance.

"I bet I could keep that smile on her face," so you thought.

Sorry, I'm sure you couldn't.

You see, the man that tattooed this smile to my face, made love to me the night before like ocean waves gently pushing their way upon the sand. The ripple effect was amazing!

So turn and walk away.

Thing about the what ifs.

You will find her one day.

You may have her already.

Tattoo a smile on her face, wash up beautiful memories upon her shore and who knows what might happen...maybe a ripple effect...

I Know You

You don't know me
but I know you.

Been watching you for awhile now.
You like your eggs scrambled and your coffee black.

You leave about 8:30 a.m. from the shop
and off to work you go.

My ears have been open a long time to your voice.
Didn't have to follow you out the door to know where you work.

A white collar brotha, smart.
You closed a deal the other day, the biggest one in your career.

Recently you suffered a loss in your family so I heard.
Thought I might leave a note by your plate when you stepped away.
"I'm sorry" is all I would have said.

I thought of revealing myself, but I knew you were damaged goods.
For it isn't that easy to get over your wife.

Love Me or Lust Me? That is the Question.

Kiss me.

Stroke my hair.

Look into my eyes.

Tell me that you want me.

I have been on your mind all day.

Thinking of the times we spent together,

you desire me all over again. You perspire...

It is getting hot between your thighs.

Are you sure it is love that drives you to come see me?

What if I told you I had nothing to give anymore but a smile,
a few words, and a gift every now and then?

What if I could do nothing more than look at you and blink?

Would you find away to comfort the yearning within your loins?

You probably would...
with someone else right?

You don't really love me, do you?

You lust me.

I thought so.
