The End

I gave him my all,
now I'm talking to a wall.

Rather be at a mall or
on a phone call, then be with him
staring at lights so dim.

"What's up with this man?"
Picture myself getting a skin tan,
surrounded by water and white san'.

I thought he'd be my friend
to the end.
But that wouldn't happen,
cause angry outbursts don't mend.

He needed fun,
I was on the run.
Love-makin' happened
now we're done!

We made a perfect pair.
But my heart has a tare.

He doesn't want me as far as
I can see.
I rather be free
alone with me.

When High School Love was Innocent

The first day I saw him
he was cute.

The second day I saw him
he was fine.

By day three, I had to make him mine.

He didn't object.

He took me by the hand, placed a note in my palm.

I couldn't wait to read.
It said, "Meet me at three."

So there I waited where I always saw him.

We talked, we laughed.

He kissed my cheek.

I Love Him Because He is All There Is

I wish I could see
the beautiful, tall tree
but I can't.

The shadow of the man stands over me.
"Get out the way, so that I may see!"
But he just stands there, holding a key.

"This is to my heart!" I say.
"Give it back, you've had it since May."

But he only sighs.
Tells me a few lies.

I know I love him
but my heart is dim.

I need to get away
that's all I pray.

Blind eyes can't see
what is in front of me.

I keep glancing.
He keeps prancing.

"Aren't you going to let me go free?"
But he too only sees me.
