We Have History

We have history you and I
read a story of how you won
a young girl's heart
with your smooth words and mature demeanor.

You acted much older than your age
an intelligent man, a kind man, a friend of a friend
You were going places in life
but you like others had a weakness...women.

You broke her heart with your flirtacious grin.
Never focused too long on what was in front of you
always looking around.
You wanted her to do things with you that she wasn't ready.
She said no, and you had to go...
off into someone else's arms!
Oh how she despised you!

Later in life they would meet again
he would tell her of the love he made, and the love he gave...
Never did they connect, even then he wanted more.

As they grew older they spoke of their lives
and the changes they had been through
her heartbroken
his destroyed.

It could have been her in that truck
but they never did connect.

Always close calls, close encounters
but never meant to be.
Just as she wrote a poem to him many years ago...
penned her angry thoughts for having trusted him.
a sad end back then
a sad end now
while his music plays on...

Intertwined

Intertwined we were in each others words over the phone
captivated by memories, hoping for the future
raptured by love.

You spoke with a voice as smooth as silk.
You gave me a reason to open my arms again.

Intertwined we were when I opened the door
your eyes meeting mine, spirits meeting for
the first time.

Intertwined we were, hands embracing
hearts racing, anticipation for what we knew
would be the rest of our lives.

Intertwined we were, our lips grazing
holding on, relaxing, pulsating for
what would come later.

Interwined we were, bodies held close
a rise and fall of love's reaction
more we needed in our passion.

Intertwined we were in each other's company
never wanting the night to end, never wanting
a day to begin without us.

Intertwined, intertwined nothing lost
everything to gain, we were has become
we are...we are intertwined as a book
read line by line by line.

Distant Love: A Time to Reflect

When I saw your face,
the sadness...
oh how I wanted to erase the pain away.

Yet for only but a moment
miles separate us
reality reminds us.

A time to reflect
to make the most of space,
only to come together again.

With new hope, new direction
we can come to know more
of one another, appreciate
respect, and most of all love.

A foundation to set.
We will dream together
We will build together
and then...

Reality will separate us yet again.
But God will strengthen us,
for these are moments reserved for Him.

What is He saying?
Meditate.
What does He give?
Hold your hand out.
Concentrate.
What is His next move?
Watch.
What is our next move?
Pray.

Until We Meet Again

Taking a moment out of my day
I sit and pray
writing love letters to God about you.

I pray for a beautiful life
with little if any strife
and hope with every lesson brings love.

Thoughts run through my mind
never enough time
to tell you how much I love you.

Your voice, touch and eyes
disturb my tender thighs
need a moment to breathe...

Looking forward to a call
listening close to it all
the words you bring they so move me.

Thank you for your time
Thank you for being mine.
Until we meet again.

My Man

Woke my heart up one day
couldn't talk or walk
his hold had me.

Left me on the bed
lost in memories
had to face another day
I'll guess I'll be okay.

Thinking of you ...your soft, supple
lips and what was between your thighs
wanted to take another ride.
I almost called the boss and lied
sick suga
sick, sick off your love!

What did you steal from me?
See they say,
I'm not supposed to feel this way
take it slow, you know
but I can't...for you are my man and I love you so!

You have got a hold on me.
I need a drink to calm down.
I need to take a bath and relax.
I need you, my love
in the worse way!

Babies' eyes wondering why
moma acts different
a pep in her step
they reach for a kiss
no more amiss
cause somebody loves your moma!
My man loves me!

Love is blind, but I can see,
cause my man has found me.
Took hold of my heart, my mind.
We two were so desperate to intertwine
and hope again one day to dine
while looking for a sign
dropping a line
let's bring on God
to tell us a time.

Cause it's coming... oh its coming so fast!
All that heartache will soon be a thing of the past
This time, my love, we will make it last!

An Internet Romance

Looking forward to another call, another time to be alone on the phone
time has no meaning when all your doing is leaning...
Leaning on someone who desires love
Hoping one day to see a white dove.
A sign of peace, love, a new beginning.
Thoughts of you, I often wonder is your heart locked...
Am I the key to unlock it?
Streams of memories of the past don't wash away easy.
Will one day like a breeze, you'll leave me?
Will her face be the one you see while I yearn for you to complete me.

What I Hadn't Asked...

Almost missed the chance
to start a romance
when I didn't think enough to ask...
Your needs, the things that bring you pleasure
the desires of your heart, your mind
would you attend a play
or stay home all day?
Do you like the rain or prefer the sunshine?
Do you like sports, tv and a book to read?
Would you mind traveling
while coddling me?
Would your lips kiss me,
your tongue surround me?
Would you hold me or roll
over away from me...

I hadn't thought to ask...
What makes you cry or do you cry?
Would you hold my hand for the world to see?
How about a child is there a possibility?
Would your voice comfort or scold me on a wrong...
Would you hang up and give me a dial tone?
Had I asked about your mom, your dad and other family?
Was I listening when you said you want to go out with me...
Do you have female friends or friends who are female?
How would your friends react to me...

I need to only ask these questions and more...
while we have allowed ourselves to be an open door.

Can We Just Be Friends?

Could it be I found a lifetime friend in you?
Don't want to ruin the connection
by forging ahead into a relationship.

For I prefer to dance in this life
to a melody alone in my room
like I did as a child.

No complications
No misconceptions
No lies
No power struggles.

Just a simple cartoon of a happy face with a wink.
Two simple words, "thank you" will do.
Why mess up a great photo album with smiles
that later frown?
Why confuse our minds with a whisper, a touch, a kiss and sex?

No, I prefer friendship a million miles away
a wish only inside my head
for me that's true love.

Baby Love

Baby love
innocent like a white dove.

Sit upon my lap
milk on tap.

Eyes like dad
cries so sad.

Could it be
he is wishing to see
his mommy - me?

In a blink of an eye
he will be walking
talking
singing
a bell in one hand ringing.

Can't believe this child is mine?
A wonder of work so fine!

He falls asleep upon my breast
I lay back to rest.
